You are invited to a free film screening about our survival

The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. MPs are invited to every screening to hear the evidence alongside their constituents.

This free film is intended as a catalyst for a wider public conversation and a stepping stone towards a live televised national briefing, introduced by the Prime Minister and delivered by independent experts, so that the whole country can be fully informed about the risks we face and the solutions available.

What is the People's Emergency Briefing?

The People’s Emergency Briefing (PEB) is a UK-wide public information initiative centred on a 50-minute documentary about the climate and nature crisis.

It gives ordinary people, MPs and other decision-makers a clear, evidence-led account of what climate and ecological breakdown means for everyday life in the UK — and what can still be done about it.

The film echoes the stark warnings of a recent UK Government intelligence assessment on global biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and national security, and is part of a national campaign calling on the Government to tell the public the truth about the scale and urgency of the crisis.

What happens at the screenings?

After a brief introduction, the People’s Emergency Briefing will be screened in full, sharing the expert opinions and testimony of key climate scientists on the imminent threats to our planet.

Following the screening we will get into small facilitated groups and look at ways we can respond as citizens and community members.
